Jesse Walker says “Doonesbury” has lost its edge. He ascribes part of the problem to an aging, out-of-touch Garry Trudeau. I wonder. It seems to me that “Doonesbury” is changing with the times as it must. Perhaps it no longer has its 70s political edge because we no longer live in that political paradigm. I still find Trudeau’s strips about higher education on point and important.
