The New York Times takes a look at the rise in popularity of FOX News. The cable channel bills itself as an outlet for fair and unbiased reporting, as espoused in its motto “We report. You decide.” FOX has turned the journalistic ethic of fair reporting into a selling point–as if other news organizations are simply toadies of one faction or another. What FOX has going for it, apparently, is “attitude.”
