Who says living on the internet makes one anti-social? Certainly not bloggers in Kansas City. Last night a few of us met for dinner and drinks at Jazz followed by good conversation at the Broadway Cafe–a wonderful grunge joint right next to a Starbucks (gets twice the business, too). While we certainly talked about blogs and blogging, conversation was wide ranging, intelligent, and entertaining–a good description of the attendees in general. I’m proud to be associated with this bunch. You’ll find a link to Kansas City’s bloggers in the right-hand column. Give ’em a look.
The Rhetorica Network
I offer commentary on the rhetoric of the American conversation, especially as it unfolds in documentary film, the news media, and politics. Check out my feeds on Twitter and Instagram. Also be sure to see my work at Carbon Trace Productions, a non-profit documentary film studio in Springfield, Missouri. I am a Professor of Media & Journalism at Missouri State University. I teach classes in mobile journalism and documentary filmmaking.
